The work of Daniel Merlin Goodbrey is striking. His artwork is a gritty style, yet, incredibly addictive. Reading his stories and comics, you can't help but fall in love with Daniel's style, and his storytelling ability. Creating a few things in flash, using a special engine, has allowed him to be much more experimental in his comic style. Comics such as "24: Three" and "Icarus Tangents" showcase this. But both, even though simple, are incredibly well written, and his unique style shines throughout. Daniel is showing the true power of independent comics. Experimentation. He is trying to explore the different ways of using the medium, something that would be near impossible to the extent he does it in a more popular comics company. But it works, and he still continues to experiment with his works, creating many webcomics, but also getting comics published and into print, as well. His series of "Brainfist" webcomics are wroth the read, things that are simple, yet will stick around with you the rest of the day, or a lot longer. Some are quite powerfully done, and with Daniel's stark style, they aren't easily forgotten. Along with this, he collaborates with Douglas Noble on a webcomic called "The Rule of Death", a weekly zombie themed story.
