The creator of the great "The Rainbow Orchid", Garen Ewing is is an illustrator, photographer, comic artist, all for hire. Boasting credentials that include work for DC Thompson, The Observer and Motorola, Garen is more of a mainstream artist compared to a lot of independent UK artists. However, this doesn't mean he is not part of expansive UK scene. Garen's major work, "The Rainbow Orchid" is a fantastic 1920's adventure tale about the search for the elusive mythical flower.

Garen's artwork is clean, and retains the British charm that most independent workers have. His illustrations on his website give a great overview of this, and the work he has done on the pages of "Horatio Pope" and "Kick Like a Girl" show how this works in black and white, as well as the colour work shown with his great adventure story.
