This is one of those understated little books that you come across every now and then. It leaves you with a contented feeling, a bit like watching one of those inspired French cartoons that doesn't seem to follow any of the usual formulae but leaves you wishing there were more like it.
Bridgeen Gillespie has two characters ponder some of life's little questions, like 'What is art ?' Does Rabbit's drawing make him an artist ? Well Mr Maximo launches into a monologue that covers the history of art but leaves the poor Rabbit none the wiser. The follow strip has us discover who the smartest animal in the world is.
Yep, I really enjoyed this and look forward to another.
